What a neat way to build vocabulary flash cards (instead of a table or chart in a notebook) or connect deeper connections between the text to another text, one-self or the world! 
 
Here, students were asked to choose a text example from their anchor book with some similar situation in the world (utilizing the News Apps) to make a connection between the two.  Students took a "snapshot" of the news article they cited as a quick means of sourcing their article...

Havin' fun playing with this app... to demonstrate... Athena will star in her own comic!  Students, however, are to turn a section / chapter or most-liked piece of their novel into a comic...
